LIEM. Introduction
Since it was founded back in CDMC made it a priority to create a computer-based and electronic music laboratory, thus encompassing an important branch of contemporary composition, a field that was entirely unsupported in Spain up until that time.
The CDMC's move in 1987 to the Reina Sofía National Art Centre Museum enabled the body to organise a laboratory and, following the architectural refurbishment of the corresponding venue, the management of INAEM (Ministry of Culture) designed and equipped the laboratory in accordance with its investment plan.
